Summer Time

This summer has just flew by. It's amazing to me how it seems like just yesterday we were hoping for it to finally get warm enough to go play at the park. Well it did and we have been several times each week during the summer.

We have also been going to the summer movie fun. There were some great movies this summer. Corbin LOVES to get his own popcorn and see the big movie. Keeley did great some weeks, not so great others. Luckly we were able to go as a family so we could trade off walking the lobby with Keeley. However there were 2 weeks we went with my sister and her kids. Brayden and Keeley have a great bond so those 2 times she sat still on Brayden's lap and ate popcorn the whole show. I think they both LOVED it. We are very lucky to have great cousions who take the time to include our kids in what they are doing.

We have also been swimming every week. Sometimes twice a week. It has been a great way to cool off. Corbin has really turned into a little fish and doesn't like to get out of the water. Keeley was not as excited about the pool at the beginning. Now she will get in and play for awhile before she watches from the side. Hopefully we can squeeze a few more weeks of swimming in.

The kids have recently discovered how great mud is. I have no clue why it's so great, but for them it's awsome. I have had so many mud pies, mud fries, mud everything. They also think it's great to put mud on each other. Oh well they wash and they are having fun!

Corbin is getting ready to start Preschool next week. To say he is excited is an understatment. We have meet the teacher night this Friday and he starts on Tuesday. I know this is the best for him, but I also know it will be a little hard letting go for both of us. He has never had a babysitter or not been with Jason or me during the day. I hope school will keep him busy enough to not miss us to much and have a great time learning. That and I hope he will kiss my goodbye everyday. I dread the day when he can't give me a kiss goodbye. Hopefully that is a long way off.

So now your up to date on what we have been up to!

Corbin's First Fishing Trip

About a year ago Jason took Corbin fishing for the first time. They had a great time. They built a campfire and roasted hot dogs for lunch. Corbin's friend gave him a Lighting McQueen fishing pole. So Jason baited his hook and to the fishing hole they went. He caught a fish the very first try. We were so proud.

Oatman, Arizona

Around the middle of April we wanted to get out and do something fun. So we packed up and went to Oatman. It turned out to be a lot of fun. There are Donkey's that come down from the Mountain and walk around the town. The kids got some carrots to feed them. Corbin found a little place there were turtles at. The owners let us feed them some celery. Boy were they fast when it came to getting the food. Corbin did a great job feeding them. Keeley was thinking it was not such a great idea, so she watched. It was a great day.

Easter

We had a great week. We went to the Library and had story time. While there they had an egg hunt. The kids were asked to only find 8 eggs each so there would be enough for everyone. Corbin did great he found eggs fast and was careful around the kids smaller than him. He even went to Keeley's basket and counted hers for her. She only had a few so he helped load her up with more eggs. It was so sweet how he was helping her out.

On Easter Sunday we went to cousion Drew's for an egg hunt and brunch. It was fun getting together with family. The kids had a great time finding eggs. There were tons of them. It was amazing to me how well Keeley did at figuring out what to do. Corbin showed her and she just got it. Corbin made out, he had to empty his basket 3 times during the hunt. He shared at the end of the day, so I even got some candy.

April & Ron's Wedding

We had a great time at April & Ron's wedding. It was beautiful and the kids were quiet during the ceremony. We had a yummy dinner after and the kids had fun there playing with there cousins and new friends. The next morning we went hiking with cousins Drew and 2 of his kids Jerry & Brad. Keeley loved her new backpack carrier. Corbin had a great time throwing rock in the river with the boys. Brad & Jerry kept a close eye on Corbin to make sure he had plenty of rock to throw in. It was great to finally be outside in nice weather. The kids slept all the way home in the car. We can't wait to go again.

For Granny O

My Granny comes on occassion and helps us out. We are really grateful for the help and love spending time with her. So the other day we decided to take her to the zoo for some much needed fun. She kept talking about the Peacocks there and how she really liked them. They were walking all over the zoo. When we were about to leave one was nearby and opened it's feathers. It was beautiful. Then Granny said she wanted a photo by it. So here's to you Granny.

Happy First Birthday Keeley

It is just amazing to me that Keeley is having her First Birthday today. It's been suck a crazy ride and we are so glad she's a part of it. I know a lot of people do a huge story of there kids birth, however I just don't have the time for that. I would rather be cuddling and chasing my kids. I do however have it written down so maybe one day I will post all that. For now I just want to wish her a happy birthday and let the world know we love her.

Bath Tub FInger Pants

You heard me right finger paints for the bathtub. We made them and the kids LOVE them. It was super easy and Corbin was a big help. We have been having so much fun with them. Corbin is starting to beg to get in the tub. Talk about making bath time easier. Plus he plays in the tub for awhile, which makes him tired. So it's easier for him to fall asleep. Keeley isn't really sure why she has colors all over her and the toys, but she goes with it. She's really getting the hang of painting her brother. I love how they are working together to paint the walls. I told Corbin the other night I wished I could get into to tub with them. He said I could barow the paint when he was done with his tub. I thought that was sweet.

Diaper Bag

Some of you may know I've been on the hunt for a new diaper bag. I have been having a heck of a time getting it all to fit into what I have. SO I have resorted to the ugly guy backpack. It's great because it holds it all. However it's ugly and whatever I really needs seems to end up on the bottom. It's been a mess. So I've been asking people and looking at every place I go. However I think I finally have one that works. I picked it up today and was lucky enough to find it on sale. :) So now I need to add something to it. It's a very boring brown. I mean totally brown. No other color of design. So hopefully I can get crafting and make it cute. Cross your fingers for me.

Update-Short Version

So here's what we've been up to. WE had a great time trick or treating. Keeley wasn't sure what was going on, but she sat in her stroller, held her bag, and watch the action. Corbin had a great time getting goodies. He even made sure his sister got some. Nov. was busy with the holidays and getting ready for Christmas. We had a great Thanksgiving at my sister and shopping on black friday is always fun. Had some snow in Dec. and we all got the flu. Keeley learned to crawl. We went out the the forest and cut down our own Christmas tree that Corbin picked out. Christmas was fun and busy. We hopped between families and parties and had some tired kids. It was busy, but so much fun. There has been snow on and off and the kids have loved it. In Jan. Keeley has been holding on while walking around. She got her ears pierced while Corbin held her hand. in Feb came Keeley's 2 teeth, both on the bottom in the middle. She takes a few steps on her own and is now a speed crawler. Corbin is getting better at singing and is starting to reconize his letters & numbers. So to say the least things have been busy, but we are loving having such great kids.
